Checking out today and heading to Hanoi, thankfully we were able to arrange a late checkout at 1pm, meaning this morning we got to go see some more temples, this did mean an early breakfast again, so another early morning wake up. We took a car to the first temple called Banteay Srei Temple which my parents went and saw back in 2008. This was quite a small temple in comparison the the others we had seen, however one seemed a lot nicer paced, could be because we didn't have a guide, or could also be the fact there weren't too many tourists when we arrived, although that didn't last too long as shortly after we arrived a few groups of others started to turn up.

Banteay Srei Temple was the only one we had planned on seeing today, but on the drive back we stopped past another temple which our driver had suggested, Pre Rup Temple, built in the mid 10th Century, we didn't have too much time as we needed to get back to the hotel., but this one was rather cool, we got to climb up the steep Temple stairs to the top and get a good view over the place, even in Angkor Wat we couldn't do this although that was due to it being a holy day.

After getting back to the hotel it was time to have a quick shower and pack our bags before checkout, after that we had lunch and then waited about an hour before it was time to hop on the bus to the airport. The drive was about an hour or so, which meant I had time to sleep on the bus for a bit before having to deal with all the international departure stuff at the airport, you know, the annoying stuff like immigration, security checks, bag checks. We didn't get a chance to say farewell to our guide Yee, we expected we would see him after we got through customs, but nope. We had some waiting to board your plane which has been delayed because of late arrival, once again... Veitjet, much like Jetstar. We did have a bit of a light show with lightning outside the window of the airport, I swear we flew into it as well when we finally boarded, it was a very cramped flight with all the seats being so close together, I was glad when it landed. We all got through immigration with no problems, had to wait for our bags for some time, and then had to wait for our van driver to pick us up, the drive to our hotel was about 20 to 30 minutes. By the time we got our hotel and checked in it was 10:50pm... We are having to get up early again as we are off early tomorrow for an overnight cruise.
